Why Quartzite Is the Perfect Choice for Countertops & More
Quartzite, a natural stone renowned for its beauty and durability, has become a popular choice for homeowners and designers alike. This stone offers a timeless appeal, making it ideal for a variety of applications, including countertops, flooring, and wall cladding.
What is Quartzite?
Quartzite is a metamorphic rock formed from sandstone and quartz. Through a natural process of heat and pressure, these elements fuse, resulting in a stone that's incredibly hard and resistant to wear. Unlike marble, quartzite is less prone to scratching and etching, making it a more durable option for various uses around the home.
Benefits of Quartzite
Quartzite Durability
One of the standout features of quartzite is its durability. This stone is harder than granite, making it resistant to scratches and heat. It's an excellent choice for high-traffic areas such as kitchens and bathrooms, where surfaces are subjected to daily wear and tear.
Aesthetic Appeal
Quartzite slabs are available in a variety of colors and patterns, ranging from the subtle tones of super white quartzite to the dramatic veining found in calacatta lux quartzite. This versatility allows homeowners to choose a style that complements their interior design. The natural veining and unique patterns in each slab ensure that no two surfaces are alike, adding a touch of elegance and exclusivity to any space.
Low Quartzite Maintenance
Another significant benefit of quartzite is its low maintenance requirements. Unlike some natural stones, quartzite does not need to be sealed as frequently. With regular cleaning and proper care, quartzite surfaces can maintain their beauty for years.

They can withstand hot pots and pans, making them practical for cooking and entertaining. Flooring
Quartzite's hard-wearing nature makes it an ideal choice for flooring in high-traffic areas. Its slip-resistant surface is perfect for entryways, hallways, and outdoor patios, providing both functionality and style.
Wall Cladding
For those looking to add texture and depth to their interiors, quartzite wall cladding offers a stunning solution. The natural patterns and colors of quartzite can transform a plain wall into a feature piece, adding character and warmth to a room.
Quartzite Colors
Quartzite is available in a spectrum of colors, each offering its own unique charm. Some popular options include:

Quartzite Care and Maintenance
Cleaning
To maintain the beauty of your quartzite surfaces, it's essential to clean them regularly with a mild detergent and warm water. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the surface. A soft cloth or sponge should be used to wipe down the surface, preventing any scratches.
Sealing
While quartzite is more resistant to staining than other natural stones, sealing is still recommended to protect the surface. Sealing helps prevent liquids from penetrating the stone, reducing the risk of stains. It's advisable to seal your quartzite surfaces annually or as recommended by the manufacturer.
Preventative Measures
To further protect your quartzite surfaces, consider using trivets or hot pads under hot cookware and coasters under glasses. This will help prevent any potential heat damage or staining from spills.

I called the company immediately. A repair was completed on 7/17, but it only made things worse—the filler was flaking and the patches were more noticeable than the original damage. I made multiple follow-up calls (7/17, 7/18, and 7/24) and was told each time that a manager would call me back. For weeks, I received no response.
At the same time, I noticed that the counter to the left of my stove was visibly uneven, something I hadn’t even been able to report yet due to the lack of follow-up.

Eventually, I did receive a call back from the owner, and while our initial conversation was heated and disappointing, I’m grateful that he and his team ultimately took the time to come out, re-evaluate, and take responsibility for the situation.
It was confirmed that the piece to the left of the stove had been cut incorrectly and would be replaced. While the repair to the island was passable, I realized I would never feel fully satisfied with it—especially since it’s the focal point of my kitchen. I found myself always pointing it out before others noticed, and I ultimately decided to replace the island completely to remove that lingering frustration.
Both pieces were replaced, and the installers were professional, clean, and kind throughout the process. The new countertops look beautiful, and I can finally enjoy my kitchen the way I had originally hoped.
While the experience started off rough and frustrating, the company did make it right in the end. That follow-through—and their willingness to hear me out—earned this updated review.

Dennis & Sherrill
The office staff was courteous, professional & knowledgeable. The 3 men who arrived to complete the order request were on time, very polite, & thoroughly explained the process of my order. They had to enlarge the opening on the granite at the sink area to accommodate a new faucet, plus clean, buff and polish all the granite in the kitchen area, and the master bathroom area.
I am very pleased with the results, and would absolutely highly recommend this company!
Best regards,
Sandy S.
